And mega-thanks to Sandy Longhorn (author of Blood Almanac, and blogger at Myself the only Kangaroo among the Beauty) for making a recording of the poem. It's a unique opportunity to hear another poet read your work, and to hear it in a public sphere of sorts.

I rarely write about family, and having this poem out in the world and so very accessible to readers because of Linebreak's online project, is very gratifying and encouraging. AND they put a link up to this blog!
So: sincere thanks to all the folks at Linebreak, to Sandy, and to YOU for stopping by Little Epic Against Oblivion. Please feel encouraged to leave a comment re: the poem, or the blog, or whatever, and I hope you'll be back!

Josh, I love the poem. Great pacing and movement through the landscapes of place and memory. Sandy did a great job reading it, too.
Thanks, Matthew. And, yes, Sandy did do a great job reading it.
And, hey!, congrats on the anthology inclusion. I'm looking forward to that one. Can't think of another anthology I've seen that's similar. (Wish I hadn't dropped the ball on that call for submissions b/c maybe I'd be there with you and Luke and others. Next time, I guess.)
Josh, thanks so much for your kind words. The poem is so lovely and right in my comfort zone with the "Kansas silt loam." It was a joy to record it!
A lovely read by your friend, I enjoyed listening. It is a pleasure to read your work.
All my best,
Erin Lewis Mathias
